Coleen is responsible for the organization’s leadership, advocacy, management, strategic planning and development.
In her role as Executive Director Coleen is honored and excited to be part of Alternatives in Motion’s 28 year history in the West Michigan area. AIM’s commitment to the community has benefited countless persons with disabilities and their families. She has helped the Board in the past three years with a new Strategic Framework, complete a “community van” campaign, and looks forward to Program Evaluation to help AIM with Capacity Building. Top priority for Coleen is the board of directors and their goals of empowering the community to ensure that all individuals with a disability have access to mobility equipment.
Coleen has over Twenty years of successful Non Profit leadership from United Way to Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has a unique ability to connect individuals to an organization’s mission, through exceptional relationship-building skills. In addition to proven competencies in the development field and implementation of strategies which create lasting relationships.
Coleen lives in Rockford, Michigan with her husband of 23 years, George. She has two daughters Katelyn and Courtney and one grandson Mark (Zeke), and granddaughter Violet. She enjoys cycling with her husband , reading and traveling.
