Mikayla is an occupational therapy assistant and chose OT to promote environments of inclusion and equality. Working as an OTA is her way of helping to create a world in which people with a diverse range of backgrounds, physical abilities and cognitive abilities can feel accepted and aided so they can live vivid and fulfilling lives.
Access to mobility equipment allows individuals to be be given the opportunity to live fulfilling lives, to meet their goals and to create communities in which everyone can flourish. Mikayla lives in Grand Rapids with her husband Will and their puppy Keith. Together they enjoy traveling in their vintage camper van, hiking and backpacking through the national parks, game nights with family and reading at the beach.
