Tessa DiTirro is thrilled to join the Board of Directors of Alternatives in Motion. Tessa just moved to West Michigan for her new role as the Weekday Morning Anchor at Fox 17. Tessa spent the previous six years working in the news industry across the Midwest. Tessa is passionate about storytelling and loves her job as an anchor and reporter. She has worked inside newsrooms in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Wheeling, WV.
An Akron, OH native, Tessa earned her journalism degree from The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, Tessa served as the president of Kappa Alpha Theta. During her involvement in the organization, Tessa discovered Court Appointed Special Advocates. While working in West Virginia, Tessa served as a volunteer for CASA. In that role she was a mentor, advocate, and liaison for children involved in custody cases. During her time working in Cincinnati, Tessa volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was a part of the “lunch buddies” program, meeting with her “little sister” once a week at school.
When she’s not tracking down her next big story or getting involved in the community, Tessa loves to be active, check out local restaurants and coffee shops, and explore Pure Michigan! Tessa is honored to use her storytelling skills to help highlight the life-changing work Alternatives in Motion does in our community.
